“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” — Proverbs 16:3 (GNT)
We all make plans. We plan for our careers, businesses, families, ministries, education, and dreams for the future. We carefully think through every step and work hard toward our goals. Yet many people overlook one of the most important parts of success—inviting God into those plans.
True success does not come from human wisdom alone. Our abilities, talents, and efforts have limits. There are situations we cannot predict, obstacles we cannot see, and challenges we cannot overcome through our own strength. But God sees beyond what we see. He knows tomorrow before we even arrive there.
When God becomes part of what you are doing, His wisdom, guidance, and blessings begin to work in your favor. He opens doors no human can open and gives direction no person can provide.
Jesus said:
“Without Me, you can do nothing.”
This does not mean we should stop working or planning. It means that lasting success is never built on human effort alone. We may have intelligence and skill, but divine direction gives our efforts purpose and power.
Throughout Scripture, we see this truth repeatedly. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were not successful merely because they worked hard. They prospered because God’s hand was upon them. God guided their steps, gave them wisdom, and blessed the work of their hands.
Their success was connected to their relationship with God.
The same principle still applies today. When you surrender your plans to God, He gives wisdom where there is confusion, strength where there is weakness, and opportunities where there seems to be no way forward. He can multiply your efforts beyond what you could ever accomplish on your own.
Before beginning any journey, project, ministry, or dream, place it in God’s hands. Pray over it. Seek His direction. Ask Him for wisdom and understanding. Honor Him first in everything you do.
When God is in charge, your plans are no longer carried by human strength alone—they are supported by divine power.
Final Thought
Don’t simply ask God to bless your plans. Ask Him to guide your plans according to His will. Sometimes God does not just bless what we create; sometimes He gives us something greater than we originally imagined.
Prayer
Lord, I place my plans, dreams, and future in Your hands. Lead me with Your wisdom, strengthen me with Your power, and bless the work of my hands. Let everything I do bring glory to You and succeed according to Your will. Amen.
