Do We Really Want Jesus Christ?

Many people say they want Jesus in their lives—but when you look deeper, the desire is often selective.

We want forgiveness, but not confrontation.
We want blessings, but not disruption.
We want rescue from consequences, but not freedom from the sin itself.
We want heaven, but not transformation here on earth.

This reveals a hard truth: sometimes, we don’t actually want Jesus—we want what He can give us.

The Reality of Following Jesus

Following Jesus is not a partial commitment. It’s not about choosing the comfortable parts and avoiding the challenging ones.

If you truly want Him, it means letting go of the very things that cause you to stumble. It means allowing Him to work deeply within you—changing your heart, your mindset, and your daily life.

As seen in Ezekiel 36:26, God doesn’t just fix behavior—He gives a new heart.

What It Really Means

  • Forgiveness and confrontation go together
You are forgiven, but also called to leave sin behind.
  • Blessing comes with transformation
    Growth often requires discomfort.
  • Salvation is more than escape
It’s about becoming new, not just avoiding consequences.
  • Walking daily with Him matters
    Faith is not a one-time decision—it’s a lifestyle.

The Whole Package

Following Jesus is a complete journey. You don’t get to pick and choose parts that suit you. It’s about surrender, transformation, and daily commitment.

The question is simple—but personal:

Do you want Jesus… or just what He offers?
